Welcome to a brand new Wednesday Sketch challenge! This week’s sketch is very simple.

I created yet another wintry scene using the adorable Freezin’ Season stamp set and coordinating dies.

I started by creating the background. I used MFT Premium Dye inks for this purpose. They are very easy to blend and react beautifully with water.
After creating the ink blended background, I used the Snowflake Flurry background to create the pattern in the backdrop. I wiped the entire stamp surface with my palm that I moistened with clean water I tapped off the excess water and ‘stamped’ the background on the ink blended background. The water takes away the colour leaving the pattern behind. It was so much fun! Then splattered more water and once dry, splattered white paint.

I used the largest die from Stitched Square STAX Die-namics and cut out the panel. I also cut a slope using Sand and Surf Die-namics and used the same square die to cut out the exact size to fit on the bottom edge of the square panel. This also ensures I have the stitched pattern on the edges of the ‘slope’.
After adhering the images, I added shadows using Copic markers for depth.
Glued the square panel on a stitched rectangle panel and stamped the sentiment. Finished the card by gluing the rectangle panel on a white card base.
I hope you like the card I made. Be sure to check MFT blog and also My Favorite Things YouTube channel for more inspiration.
