Celebration post #3 _ with Jasleen and a giveaway

Hello everyone!

I’m so grateful you took time to comment on the previous two celebration posts. We have more coming up in the coming month.

Today’s cards are by a brilliant carmaker who never seizes to inspire me with her clever and cute designs. Her Clean and Simple cards are out of this world! She is beautiful inside and out and I feel blessed to call her my friend. She is so kind and has something nice to say to everyone! She is so adorable!
Before I take you though Jasleen’s post, I want to give a big shout out to Meetu for sponsoring today’s prize. Meetu has an online craft store- Krafters cart which she operates from New Zealand. It is always loaded with latest releases from many awesome companies. She was so kind to offer the prize and ship it to any address across the world! So everyone who follows the giveaway rules is eligible.

This is the set you are gonna get if you win. Isn’t it cute? πŸ™‚

Here are the rules…

Now, let us see what Jasleen made for us today…
Hello!

This is Jasleen from Happily Ever Crafter and I feel delighted to be guest designing today at Sindhu’s new blog paperminty.wordpress.com. I’ve always been a HUGE admirer of Sindhu’s style of cardmaking and she’s one of my very early inspirations for CAS cardmaking. She’s one of the few crafty pals whom I turn up to for any crafty guidance or help, and she has always been very warm and supportive. Thank you so much Sindhu for having me as a part of your blog’s 5th anniversary celebrations. You are doing an amazing work and I’m sure you’ll go places. My best wishes and loads of love to sweet little Agasthya, may he get many more reasons to celebrate.

Sharing a little about myself. I started blogging in August 2013 and it all began after I came across a few quilled greeting cards while surfing the internet. I quickly got hooked to quilling and cardmaking. I love the idea of conveying across an idea or a sentiment with as little as possible and therefore find my comfort zone in CAS style of cardmaking.  Currently I’m addicted to water-colouring and hand-lettering.

I’m sharing two cards today. The first one is an interactive birthday card made using My Favourite Things- Penguins in Paradise and Mama Elephant- Good Times stamp sets.

It’s a slider card which shows a bunch of balloons flying high in the sky and when the tab is pulled out, it shows a cute little penguin flying higher with a balloon in hand.

I made a small change in the original stamped image (original penguin had an ice-cream in its hand ) to fit my little scene. Those clouds are made by masking (a hand drawn cloud cut out used as a mask) and sponging using Tumbled Glass Distress ink.I coloured those balloons using Zigs and I gave them a touch of shimmer using Stickles glue- Sprinkled sugar(not quite clear in the pictures).

Check out this short video showing the slider mechanism in action.

Making interactive cards has been on my Wishlist and on my Pinterest Board since long, so glad I didn’t postpone making it any further. These are fun to make and super fun to receive as well πŸ˜‰

Second card is a one-layered clean and simple card made using My Favourite Things- Harvest Mouse stamp set.

I love that cute little mouse, can’t say that about the real ones running in my garden though  β€¦ Haha!

The images are coloured using Zig brush pens.
I hope you liked my cards today. Thanks again Sindhu for having me here and many congratulations. Keep inspiring!

Would love to have you all join in for the celebrations here.

Love,

Jasleen.

WOW!! Aren’t the two cards adorable?! I absolutely am in love with both of them, a tad bit more partial towards the cute little penguin on the interactive card, may be? πŸ˜€

Thank you SO much, Jasleen! You are awesome!

Thanks for visiting, everyone!

Hugs

Sindhu.
